Taurus Full Moon: Breaking through Confinement

The full moon in Taurus this Wednesday, October 24th is a very rare event. Usually a Taurus full moon is all about stability, getting grounded in what you love, solidifying parts of yourself, and getting comfortable....but not this time around!

The moon will be conjunct the rebellious planet of Uranus and with it comes an up-rooting of where we have gotten too comfortable. Uranus calls for freedom. Freedom from restriction, control, and contentment. Uranus wakes us up, shakes us up, and lets the pieces fall where they may. I know this might sound daunting, but I promise it's all serving a greater purpose!

With the dramatic changes that Uranus usually carries going through the fixed earth sign of Taurus, it's probably going to bring destabilizing changes that go on for a while! Taurus is slow and Uranus won't be able to move as quickly through it, but the changes will come and they will make us uncomfortable. The best thing you can do with this energy is to pay attention to it & surrender to it. Begin to trust yourself in your own restlessness. What is your soul calling you change? What do you need freedom from in your life? Are you really awake? These are the things to ask yourself with this full moon.

The Sun will be in early Scorpio shining light in the darkness and then reflecting the sometimes illusionary security that Taurus can bring. Uranus doesn't want to be blinded by comfort and don't forget that Venus retrograde will be conjunct the Sun so she will be part of this story too. Four planets all pulling on each other for part in the narrative. The moral of this tale might be that sometimes "comfort" is just an excuse for not looking at our pain. The Scorpio/Taurus polarity is about understanding ourselves at the deepest level. It's about recognition, restoration, and rebirthing ourselves again and again so we can actually evolve into who we were meant to be.

With this Taurus full moon, have gratitude for your desires, your darkness, your rebellious side, and of course your heart. Without all of it, you could't truly embody who you are. Be proud of the different parts of you and don't ever be afraid of change......it's part of growth and without it how could we rise up?
